TechRaptor’s Joseph Allen reported for duty with intel of the anticipated release date for Men of War II, the next entry in the acclaimed real-time strategy franchise Men of War from Fulqrum Publishing and Ukrainian developer Best Way. The long-awaited RTS release puts players in command of massive assaults during World War II, with special care given to historical fidelity to create a dynamic clash of wits with a plethora of gameplay options.
Men of War II marks a storied occasion within the franchise’s history. “Best Way and Fulqrum note that the new release date falls on the tenth anniversary of Men of War: Assault Squad 2‘s launch, which the studios hope will make the launch of the new game “a birthday party you will not soon forget”, Allen penned in the article. The original Men of War launched in 2009 and is available still on Steam and GoG.
Best Way has committed to players by offering extensive overviews of the game’s single player and multiplayer options, including various legacy-inspired game types that feature variations on fan favorite setups such as Front Line, Assault Zones, and Combat through a Classic Mode. In fact, much of the game’s current state can be attributed to utilizing player feedback. From crunchy military simulation to more casual ways to experience WWII, there are dozens of ways to fine-tune one’s preferred way to play in Men of War II.
Men of War II also received a post-launch patch that speeds up sever wait-time and reveals that a major update to the modding tools is coming soon.
